Subject: we *need* anti-authoritarians; why life in America can
literally drive one insane
This is to share two excellent articles.
As background to the articles--see bottom--think of the famous psychiatrist and academic Thomas Szasz, who has passed away at 92 since I last wrote of him. Basically Dr. Szasz argued for many years that mental illness is a myth created as a means of social control. He got respect.

My first purpose in sharing these articles is for you to be more confident of yourself, in case this finds you in any doubt about your sanity, and to read everything you can find about any particular psychotropic drug before deciding for yourself to take it even as an experiment. Certain drugs require that they be taken for a certain amount of time before one can know the full outcome of the experiment, so if you're ever thinking of trying one be aware of that also.
My second purpose is to suggest that you try to hold back from suggesting to anyone else that they might need drug treatment and/or that you do a lot of studying before agreeing to have your children treated with drugs.
Be your own doctor. Of course you need a doctor for physicals and otherwise when you need a doctor. But if your doctor doesn't want to cooperate with you, you can find one who will.
