It wasn't so bad right around here in May, and it seems that we might be going to have a bit of an easier time around here. And yes, so far there has been a property or two for sale around here.
The analysis given in this article seems to track what I saw and understood of the March 29, 2014 Intergovernmental Panal on Climate change ("IPCC") report. "The Final Draft Report, dated 28 October 2013, of the Working Group II contribution to the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report Climate Change 2014:Impacts, Adaptation, and Vulnerability was accepted but not approved in detail by the 10th Session of Working Group II and the 38th Session of the IPCC on 29 March 2014 in Yokohama, Japan. It consists of the full scientific and technical assessment undertaken by Working Group II." Actually most of what I did was I downloaded the 44 page Executive Summary pdf and looked at that.
Most of the world is destined to be much worse off and sooner than the United States. But there are big variations in the immediate future of the United States, and serious things like coastal destruction and serious heat interfering not only with lives but with agriculture in big parts of the United States. GM foods have big problems associated, like water use, water poisoning, pesticide poisoning, suicide and immigration, increased greenhouse gases, increased use of oil, and problems with profits for farmers.
