Subject: fascinating: gay kids are being thrown out of their
parents' homes at increasing rates. Who'da thunk!
This is a fabulously interesting article from Rolling Stone. It is most personal for the interesting lesbian author, her story; and it is also about what's going on in general these days.
I had no idea of this. If you happen to be (closet of course) gay or lesbian or one who empathizes with gays and lesbians, you might want to forward this. Hey, you might want to forward it even if you empathize with the so-called religious parents in this article. I don't call them that. Or at least I object seriously to them having any exclusive use of the term "religious" when other religious people like me dislike seeing and hearing about the real damage that they cause. These are people who totally break ties with their children. Children!!! Sheesh!
The most important thing is perhaps warnings should be issued to these kids: You maybe don't want to tell your parents, actually! Just because it's ok with most people does not mean you can assume that it will be ok with them! You might split the family, to your surprise.
